Judie,

I'll shoot you an email to suss out a bit more details about your issue before working on finding a solution. If we find a fix, I'll post it here eventually.

I am at my wits end to replace my Contacts on my Phone 3GS (which has been updated to iPhone iOS 4). to my laptop (OS 10.6.4) after a disastrous syncing of my old google address book. I have my Contacts under Groups which will not sync to Mobile me. I have scoured the internet with no avail. Any way you can give advise?

Much thanks Judie

Look forward to seeing your list, Drew. Watch out about the mouth scrapes, though. Law enforcement officials may cross-reference for relatives of yours who may be fugitives. This is the world we live in now. Oy.

Crazy, I'll have to inventory and see what films are in my DNA. I relate to all of your selections (save Khan, Doctor Doolittle, and Hello Dolly.) Raising Arizona lines come up about once EVERY fortnight, Princess Bride is my wife's all time favorite. I have a number of movies that if, while surfing channels, you MUST stop and view to the end (A Few Good Men, Back To the Future, The Lonely Guy, Princess Bride, and a few more.) I'll have to scrape some cells from my toothbrush and get back to you.

It seems to now be happenning from any emailer, business or private (rarely though, it's happenned 4 or 5 times).
I have only 1 email account on the phone. The phone is a 3G and the email account is POP.
The recomended solution is to "rebuild" the email account on the phone.
The only other fact to share is this started after I started syncing my phone to my MacBook (running OS 10.6.4) the phone is also sunc (synced) to my iMac (running OS 10.4). I have mail set up on my MacBook, but don't use it to manage my email on my iMac. Basically what I'm saying is I have 1 email account that has different amounts of emails on 3 different machines.

Some basic questions first:

- What version of the iPhone OS are you using? Is it the latest (3.1.3 or iOS 4)?
- What kind of iPhone are you using (3G, 3GS, 4)?
- Is this only happening with email you get from corporate email accounts, or is it happening with email you get from regular people, too?
- How many email accounts do you have on your iPhone?
- What kind of email accounts (e.g., Google, Exchange, MobileMe, POP, IMAP, etc.)?
- Is this problem happening with more than one of these different email accounts?

Let me know these things and I can suggest what best to do next.

Best, /carlos

Okay, here's the related wierdness my iPhone does: Sometimes when I get an email from a company (evite, gap, etc.) my mail shows a proper address and subject line, but the message contents are a very old email from a person. It's like my iPhone is randomly selecting a message from way in my past and saying "did you want to read this again?" Best I can tell it's a sync-issue and since I could care less about corporate email (plus my computer retrieves the message fine) I am yet to do anything about it.

Yah, this Nokia idea is pretty see through. I don't imagine the info gleaned from these few control handles is even enough to make a clear design choice. It's kind of like letting the Family Fued survey make tech decisions, that show got cancelled and at least 2 of it's hosts met untimely ends... nuf said. The real thing is the whole concept of "smartphone." Okay, it goes online; you can get your email, find stuff on a map, have a library of music and books, but come on, what is there after that? "Handy-level" "ghost-radar" have you browsed through the app-store recently? The whole power behind the so called "smartphone," which FYI is constantly changing the spelling of words I type to ridiculous things because it thinks I want to spell Niki instead of nokia, (Just say'n) the real power is the Internet. Speed up my network connection! Is that a good enough idea to help any smartphone designers? Oh... Wait... They can't control that. So nokia or apple or google or whoever pats them selves on the back for delivering some great new piece of technology with proprietery software and features and relegates the whole driving force behind their product to phone companies more interested in blue to orange changes and naming football stadiums then providing high-speed Internet to mobile users. Here's my user feedback, maybe a "smartphone" designer can use: you are super powerful multi-billion dollar corporations who crush software companies and bloggers who defy your ideals of making people smarter through phone use, stop acting like you live only by the mercy of out dated institutions. Do I need to remind people that AT&T stands for American telephone and TELEGRAPH! You want smarts out of a smartphone? Make it slap somebody everytime they download a dog bark-to-English translator app.
